Ever since "The Bucket List", starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, came out, we have all secretly or not so secretly created our own 'Bucket List'.  This used to be called 'things I want to do in my life' (but 'Bucket List' is more catchy).  Some have extensive ones involving travel, others more to do at home, some about family.  The Victoria Falls is definately, or more upto date, was on mine.  Only once before have I been somewhere, stood there, and said to myself "I can't believe that I am here".  That was at Pisa, staring at the Leaning Tower of Pisa.  Today was the second time that I have said that.  With Tv's, with Film and Movies, with internet, we can always do research and see photo's and video but sometimes you need to be there to really appreciate the beauty and power and uniqueness of places on our Earth.  To me the Victoria Falls is one such place.  Over 1.7km's long, dropping around 100m, into a chasm only 50m wide, the sound (even at medium water level) and eye candy and photo opps everywhere is astounding.  I really don't want to (or can't) describe these Falls, words escape me, all I will say is that they shouldn't be missed on anyone 'Bucket List'.  The rest of it, the bungy, rafting, microflights, ehh that stuff can wait for some other place, too expensive anyway, but the Falls were awe-inspiring.  'Nuff said.
Today also was the last days for some of the people from our trip.  Some like Volker, Verena and Sandra are off to Johannesburg, others like Hannah, Chloe, Adam, Frederikke, Julie, Alan and Wiggles are back off home or to help out at animals shelters somewhere, or in Alan case, to escape technology for a few more days.  Also to Shan and Britt, who left us in Windhoek.  All good people on their own ultimate adventures and I wish you all the best for your futures.  I hope that we can bump into each other somewhere else on this '3rd Rock form the Sun'.  Cheers.
ps.  I think that Audrey is loving the trip ... so far ;)
Oh and "The Beer Book" will be making an appearance soon.  It is a diary with Photo's and description of all the types of beer that I will consume on this trip.  I'll be making up some crap like people do with wines.  If you are vegetarian, every beer goes with eggplant :)
